Lib Dem 'freaks' should move to Brussels after Three Lions insult, rage furious Tory MPs

Conservative MPs have urged the Lib Dems to relocate permanently to “live with their buddies in Brussels” after they rewrote England’s Three Lions football song into a demand to rejoin the EU.

The “It’s Coming Home” song written by David Baddiel and Frank Skinner has been loved by England football fans since 1996 but the Lib Dems will perform a rewrite of the song at their Glee Club party tonight demanding a return of Brussels rule and end Brexit.

The rewrite starts referring to a “referendum full of hate” and is followed by a chorus featuring the lyrics: “Gold stars on the flag, four freedoms still gleaming, glory years of peace, kept us all campaigning.”

While Lib Dem leader Sir Ed Davey has insisted his party would not push to rejoin the EU, his foreign affairs spokeswoman Layla Moran has admitted they would.

And Lib Dem activists have been seen wearing Rejoiner T-shirts at their conference in Bournemouth this week.

Stoke North Tory MP Jonathan Gullis said: “What we’ve seen are yet more politicans who are sadly all too willing to sell out our country for their buddies in Brussels.

“Nobody is stopping these Remoaners from moving to the EU, so instead of virtue signalling, why don’t they just do it!”

Conservative Deputy Chairman Lee Anderson said the Lib Dems are “freaks”.

He told Express.co.uk: “A big thanks to the Daily Express for ruining my week away by reminding me of the political freak show that has been taking place in Bournemouth.

“It sounds like the whole of the Lib Dem parliamentary party will be leaving on their one minibus while singing their new silly songs. Ed Davey is no Ed Sheeran.”
