Lewis Hamilton unleashes attack on FIA as Brit demands major changes in F1

Lewis Hamilton has blasted the FIA for a lack of ‘transparency’ and ‘accountability’ after F1 Academy director Susie Wolff filed a lawsuit against the sport’s governing body.

Wolff was placed at the centre of an FIA probe in December after the governing body started investigating a potential conflict of interests between herself and her husband Toto.

However, after the rest of the paddock came out in defence of Wolff and denied complaining about their relationship, the FIA backed down from their investigation. Now, Susie has launched a criminal complaint against the organisation in the French courts.

“There has still not been any transparency or accountability in relation to the conduct of the FIA and its personnel in this matter,” she wrote in a statement ahead of the Australian Grand Prix.

“I feel more than ever it is important to stand up, call out improper behaviour and make sure people are held to account. Whilst some may think silence absolves them from responsibility – it does not.”
