Lady Louise set to make high-profile appearance this week despite missing key royal event

Lady Louise Windsor is set to make a high-profile appearance at the King’s first-ever Trooping the Colour this Saturday [June 17] – and there is a reason why she could be there. The 19-year-old appeared on the balcony at last year’s event, which was the start of her late grandmother’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Last year’s Trooping the Colour only featured working royals and their children on the balcony, with the Palace confirming this in the lead-up to the day.

Lady Louise, who is a student at St Andrew’s University, is also on summer break from her studies, meaning that the royal has no educational commitments for the time being.

In April, the royals joined together for the King’s first-ever Easter Sunday service as monarch.

The King’s youngest niece was notably absent, seemingly because the service fell during term time.

The service also occurred before revision week at Lady Louise’s university, meaning that she was likely busy preparing for her exams at the time.

Lady Louise has recently been praised for her new look at the King’s Coronation celebrations last month.

Fans took to Twitter to discuss the royal, with one describing the teenager as a “fashion icon”.

One fan wrote: Lover her poise and style! Louise is a very cool girl, a lovely presence at royal events.”

Another wrote: “She looked fabulous and is really coming into her own a a young woman.”

A royal expert also previously described Lady Louise as an “asset” to the Royal Family.

Royal biographer Ingrid Seward previously told FEMAIL: “[Lady Louise] has always been an asset to the family and very polite which the Queen loves.

“Remember how she helped the bridesmaids on the steps of St George’s Chapel and as they went inside at Princess Eugenie’s wedding and her skirt blew up in the wind in front of the TV camera? She handled it very deftly.”
