Mr Clinton explained: “The Royal Household is exempt from upholding discrimination legislation. It does not apply to them.
“Usually, in the workplace you would be protected, but in the Royal Household you can be discriminated against.”
The campaigner said every worker deserves to be treated equally, including those who work for the Windsors.
In taking the royals on over the Equality Act, Labour for a Republic also wants to push workers’ right up the party’s agenda.
