Knifeman on run after London horror stabbing sees 19-year-old rushed to hospital


A manhunt is underway after a 19-year-old man was stabbed on a quiet London street.

Police were called to Plevna Crescent, Tottenham, at around 5pm on Saturday.

The victim remains in hospital, with police saying the injuries are not life-threatening.

No arrests have been made following the incident, MyLondon reports, with anyone with information being urged to contact police.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at around 17:00hrs on Saturday, 28 October, to a report of a male stabbed in Plevna Crescent, Tottenham.

“A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital suffering stab injuries. These have been assessed as not life-threatening.

“Detectives from the Met’s North Area BCU are investigating. There has been no arrest at this stage. Anyone with information or any witnesses yet to speak with police are asked to call 101, ref 4321/28oct. To remain anonymous, please contact CrimeStoppers.”

Elsewhere in the capital this weekend, two men were found injured – one of them after being stabbed – on St Andrews Road in Walthamstow at around 1.30am on Sunday morning.

No arrests have yet been made following that incident, with the man who was stabbed not believed to be in a life-threatening condition.

And shortly after midnight on Saturday morning, a man suffered critical injuries in an incident outside Burnt Oak underground station on Watling Avenue, Edgware.

The victim, who was in his 40s, had been punched by another man before falling to the ground.  

He was taken to hospital where staff alerted police.

Detective Sergeant Emma Thompson from the Met’s North West Command Unit said: “A man is lying critically ill in hospital as a result of this act of violence and we need to find who is responsible.”
