King 'open to relationship with Harry' but will put foot down on being pushed around

King Charles is “open” to mending his relationship with Prince Harry “so long as he no longer tried to push him around,” a royal commentator has claimed.

The King has not spent much time with his youngest son since he and Meghan Markle officially stepped down from their royal duties in March 2020.

They were briefly together during His Majesty’s Coronation in May but Harry was quick to fly back to California within hours of the ceremony to celebrate Prince Archie Harrison’s fourth birthday.

The Duke of Sussex is due back in England in September to attend the WellChild Awards, and speculation has been rife on whether he will take the chance to meet with the King to just talk about their grievances.

Bur royal author Ingrid Seward claimed Harry is “too stubborn to plot any route back” as she insisted now would be the perfect time for the pair to reconcile.

She added: “I doubt Charles would be strong enough or unkind enough to say no if he was asked personally by his son.

“Yet I suspect the Duke was too stubborn to do that and felt the Scottish retreat was a step too far for him, both literally and emotionally.”

Seward also argued that Harry and Meghan both could widely benefit from the Duke returning to the royal fold.

The pair have been setting up their own business in California after stepping down but their popularity and success have fluctuated quite dramatically throughout.

She added: “Those dealings could actually be aided by a reconciliation with the Royal Family, as it would return the golden stardust the couple needs to break them apart from the scores of other celebrities in California”.
