King Charles's row with Prince Harry throws Archie and Lilibet UK reunion into doubt

Prince Archie Harrison and Princess Lillibet Diana’s reunion with King Charles is in doubt as his feud with Prince Harry continues.

According to royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams, while the monarch is keen to see his two grandchildren, he is aware of his current relationship with Prince Harry.

Speaking to GB News he said the King would be taking into account “what has been happening” and “play the long game”.

Mr Fitzwilliams’s comments come as speculation continues about Harry and Meghan’s plans for 2024.

In recent weeks, there have been reports that they could move back to the UK from California or appear on reality TV.

On King Charles’s plan for 2024, Mr Fitzwilliams said: “[He ]will have an eagerness undoubtedly but he also has to take into account what has been happening.

King Charles will play the long game, remembering that there have been a lot of accusations against the Royal Family, and they have had to be quiet.

“I am sure King Charles would love to see Archie and Lilibet. In theory, of course, he would but he will take things as they come and consider all of this with care.”

What the future holds for the Sussexes’ relationship with King Charles is uncertain. Royal commentator Richard Cole claimed that Harry and Meghan’s family relationships were at rock bottom.

Mr Cole told GB News: “It is interesting to note that Meghan is not on speaking terms with any of her family apart from her mother and a niece. Nobody else in her family speaks to her and she does not speak to them.”

Mr Cole added: “Likewise the relationship between Prince Harry and his family is hardly existing at this moment, which is not surprising considering the criticism that has been laid about the Royal Family from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex since they departed from the royal circle.”

On whether there were any signs of a future reconciliation, Mr Cole said: “It is difficult to see how those relationships are going to be mended without some apologies on the part of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

“They are showing no signs of that…frankly, it is at rock bottom.”

Last year, the Sussexes had an eventful relationship with senior members of the Firm after the release of the books Spare and Endgame.

Mr Cole claimed that the release of Endgame “clearly demonstrates how utterly irresponsible the Sussexes are.”

The Daily Mirror’s royal editor Russell Myers claimed that Prince Harry could see “repercussions” from the release of Spare for years.

He explained: “Absolutely nobody was spared – excuse the pun – from his barbs in that book and I think we’ll still see the repercussions of that in the next year or two and whether Harry can sort of find a way back into the family remains to be seen.”
