King Charles tours Flying Scotsman as Britain's most famous train celebrates centenary


The King has arrived at Pickering Heritage Railway station to mark a very special anniversary for the famous train. The monarch arrived on the Royal Train, which was pulled by the Flying Scotsman. The 74-year-old is present to take part in a special event to mark 100 years of Britain’s most famous train.

King Charles was met on the platform by the custodian of Flying Scotsman, Lord Hendy of Richmond Hill and Judith McNicol, Director of the National Railway Museum – the home to the Flying Scotsman.
