King Charles refuses to let Prince Harry 'emotionally blackmail' him over children

King Charles has told those close to him he “will not be emotionally blackmailed by his own son” after Prince Harry appeared to be using his children against the Royal Family, according to The Sun.

Just a few weeks ago Harry and Meghan Markle suggested that they would accept an invitation from the Royal Family to spend Christmas at Sandringham, however the publication of Omid Scobie’s Endgame seems to have soured relations once again.

Harry has also been back in the High Court this week for a hearing in his battle with the Home Office over their refusal to provide him with 24-hour security after he and Meghan stepped down as working royals in 2020.

In a statement read out on his behalf he claimed he felt “forced” to leave the UK and believed it would be unsafe for him to bring his young children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet over here.

In Endgame Mr Scobie alleged that Harry pleaded with his father “don’t you want to see your grandchildren?” after the Sussexes were evicted from Frogmore Cottage.

A source said: “The King has said that will not be emotionally blackmailed by his own son. He is not concerned by the book and remains full of energy.”

The couple were asked to leave Frogmore, their base in the UK which was given to them by Queen Elizabeth after their wedding, after Harry’s memoir Spare was published.

Now the Duke and Duchess must give 28-days notice if they wish to return and stay at a royal property and for security threats to be assessed.

The Duke is now suing the Home Office over their decision to strip him and Meghan of the security protection they were entitled to as working royals.

A statement read out on Harry’s behalf said: “It is with great sadness to both of us that my wife and I felt forced to step back from this role and leave the country in 2020.

“The UK is my home. The UK is central to the heritage of my children and a place I want them to feel at home as much as where they live at the moment in the United States.
