King Charles is a ‘very, merry monarch’ and its thanks to Queen Camilla

King Charles is nearing the end of his first year as monarch, and he’s getting rave reviews. But, it’s not just his decision-making that’s being commented on, it’s his demeanor, and he seems much chipper since marrying the love of his life, Camilla, says royal commentator Michael Cole.

On Boxing Day, BBC 1 is set to premiere a documentary on Charles’ accession to the throne, entitled Back Stage at the Coronation. Mr. Cole appeared on GB News, saying of the program, “What is the most interesting thing about this, and I think you’ll see it if you watch, and I think it’s worth a watch, is how happy the King is.”

He adds: “We now have a very, merry monarch, and that’s what happens after 18 years of happily married life, that is the big change.”

Charles and Camilla met in the 1980s and made it offical in 2005, tying the knot in a civil ceremony. When Chales and Camilla are out and about, they act like a married couple, because that’s what they are… and King and Queen.

While he comes across as happy, Cole believes Charles is very hurt by Prince Harry and not being able to see his grandchildren. Cole’s advice to Harry is to apologize and show contrition.

Harry and Meghan just got back from Costa Rica, which doesn’t quite say contrition, but more like contrite. It seems like they’re trying to send a message to the RF, but it’s not clear what it is.

Charles and Camilla will be surrounded by the rest of their family at Christmas, spending the day at Sandringham.
