King Charles waved to well-wishers as he headed back to his Norfolk estate, just 24 hours after returning to London for cancer treatment.
Dressed smartl in a suit and tie, the 75-year-old monarch looked in high spirits as he acknowledged members of the public who had gathered outside Buckingham Palace and along the Mall.
Queen Camilla was not with him as he started the journey back to Sandringham, as she is carrying on with public duties today.
