King Charles has one decision left as 'unprecedented' pressure mounts over Prince Andrew

King Charles may have to stop paying for Prince Andrew’s private security over the latest Jeffrey Epstein scandal, one royal author claims.

Charles finds himself under “unprecedented” pressure over the Duke of York’s association with the disgraced financier. Andrew has strenously denied all allegations against him but his former friendship with Epstein has come under the spotlight once again thanks to the release of a tranche of documents from a Manhattan judge.

Royal commentator Charles Rae told GB News that the pressure is escalating given the limited options available to King Charles, since Andrew has already been stripped of his title and public roles.

According to Rae, “we’re only six days into it, and the pressure on Prince Andrew and the Royal Family is now mounting to a level which is almost unprecedented”.

Rae argued that the King made an error in inviting Prince Andrew to Sandringham for Christmas after the Queen stripped him of his HRH in January 2022.

He said: “We have a King who is now under great pressure to do something about Andrew. There is not much he can do. He’s been stripped of his HRH and he’s not allowed to use it. He cannot represent any of these charities or his military functions. He’s sitting in his nearly 30 room almost palace.”

Rae claimed Charles had permitted Andrew to continue paying for the upkeep of his residence, but rumors are circulating that the King may stop funding Andrew’s private security, amounting to £3million a year.

This comes after US Judge Loretta Preska ruled to make public documents naming over 200 individuals associated with Jeffrey Epstein, including Andrew and other high-profile figures.
