King and Queen Camilla send sweet birthday message to George on his 10th birthday

King Charles and Queen Camilla have taken to Twitter to send a sweet birthday message to Prince George.

The King’s eldest grandchild celebrates his tenth birthday today, July 22.

On the popular social media platform, the royal couple shared the Prince and Princess of Wales’s special post to mark their eldest son’s tenth birthday.

Sharing the post, the couple wrote: “Happy Birthday to Prince George!”

The sweet picture shows a smiling George wearing shades of blue and green, paired with brown suede shoes.

The picture, which was taken earlier this month, was captured by photographer Millie Pilkington.

Marking their son’s milestone, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared their own post on Saturday morning.

The royal couple, who are also parents to Princess Charlotte, eight, and five-year-old Prince Louis, wrote: “10 today! Wishing Prince George a very happy birthday!”

Usually the one behind the sweet birthday pictures, Kate reportedly asked Millie to capture the latest photos of George.

Millie has become known for capturing adorable shots of Kate and William’s three children. The photographer was chosen to take pictures of both Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis for their official birthday pictures earlier this year.

Like the King and Queen, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh also shared the royal couple’s post.

Sharing their own birthday wishes for the future King, the couple wrote: “Wishing Prince George a very happy 10th birthday today!”

The Prince and Princess of Wales welcomed Prince George into the world on July 22, 2013.

The young royal made his first public appearance, at just a few hours old, outside the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital.

As the crowds cheered, Prince William said that he had inherited his “mother’s looks”, and jokingly added that his newborn son had “more hair” than him already.

Their son’s name – George Alexander Louis – was announced two days after his birth. It was marked as a sweet tribute to his great-great-grandfather, King George VI.
