Key sign Prince William has welcomed Andrew back into the royal fold spotted at Balmoral

Prince William may have accepted bringing his uncle Prince Andrew back into the royal fold, if recent images are anything to go by.

William is said to have been a driving force behind Andrew losing his military titles, but their latest appearance in Balmoral holds a key sign that tensions could now be behind them.

On Sunday, the Prince of Wales was spotted giving his uncle a lift to church in Balmoral, seemingly showing that Andrew could have been welcomed back into the royal fold.

This comes after the King is believed to have allowed his younger brother to join the family summer break at the Scotland-based residence.

Many of the royals, including the Princess of Wales and their three children, arrived in Scotland last week to spend the next few weeks with the King at Balmoral – his first time hosting summer there.

Andrew was seen in the front seat next to William, with Princess Kate in the back of the car, on August 27.

The Duke of York made the decision to step down from public life in 2019 following his disastrous interview with BBC Newsnight which centered on his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew has maintained that he cut ties with the American businessman following his conviction and has repeatedly and vehemently denied the allegations of sexual assault against accuser Virginia Giuffre or that he had any knowledge of wrongdoing committed by Epstein.

Being seen publicly together could now mean that tensions have thawed, and marks William’s first appearance with Andrew since April.

Speaking to the Telegraph, one royal source said that “all the Yorks, even the Duchess” were present at Balmoral.

They added: “Safe to say it’s a holiday where the entire family has been invited, the entire family are participating and the entire family are included.

“Anyone looking for a family divided angle will be sorely disappointed.”

On Sunday morning, William, Andrew and Kate all attended Crathie Church together.

Despite being seen in the same car, William didn’t appear to interact with his uncle during the outing.

The united display comes as the royals are set to mark the first anniversary of the late Queen Elizabeth II’s death on September 8.
