The visit to the Bahamian fish fry took place in March 2022, however, the clip has recently resurfaced thanks to a TikTok account l0velycatherine posting it on their page.
In the video, Kate is seen holding up the strip of flesh, which comes from the inside of the conch and is commonly said to be the conch’s male genitalia, before putting it in her mouth to applause from the crowds.
Kate said: “I’m a little bit more adventurous than William is.”
The future King hit back, saying: “I can handle it.”
Many TikTok users commented on the video gushing over Kate and her fun, adventurous side.
One user wrote: “She’s so funny the way she cheekily jokes with him. She’s not afraid to try new things the royals don’t do usually.”
Another said: “Why did William fall in love with Catherine? There is the answer. I think Catherine showed him the simplicity of life in the midst of royal life.”
One added: “She’s so stunning. Born to be a queen.”
The conch pistol is supposedly the aphrodisiac of the Caribbean and is also known as ‘Bahamian Viagra’.
It said to be the genitalia of the male conch but can actually be found on both male and female conches.
In spite of its nickname the creatures use the appendage to aid with digestion and it has nothing to do with mating.
Conch has been a staple source of protein for Bahamians since the 19th century and is also a good source of iron and calcium.
