Kate Middleton's uncle 'signing up to Celebrity Big Brother' spells bad news for Sussexes

Gary Goldsmith, the younger brother of Princess Kate’s mother Carole Middleton, is said to be finalising plans to enter the house.

The business mogul has negotiated a hefty contract with ITV show bosses and is said to have been locked in talks with them and signed his deal, according to reports.

A source told The Sun: “Gary is champing at the bit to get on Celebrity Big Brother. He finalised the terms of his deal today and can’t wait to enter the house.”

Gary, 58, who attended Kate’s wedding to Prince William in 2011, is now said to be CBB’s most controversial signing with the source adding he “won’t hold back”.

But the move could prove an issue for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after Kate’s relative could be tempted to speak about the royals.

They added: “He’s made it clear he will talk about everything and anything, and he’s pretty outspoken when it comes to Harry and Meghan.”

Her uncle, who is said to have a “deep affection” for both Kate and William, is expected to give a rare insight into royal life if the entrepreneur makes his show debut in March.

Last year it was reported that he was considering preparing to release a book which aims to “fight back” against claims made by Prince Harry in his explosive memoir Spare.

He tried to win a place on I’m A Celebrity last year but was rejected at the final stage.

Express.co.uk have approached ITV and Gary Goldsmith’s representatives for comment.

The news comes after King Charles was spotted visiting his daughter-in-law Princess Kate this morning, shortly after arriving at the hospital where he is due to undergo planned prostate surgery.

The King arrived at The London Clinic before 9am, the same private London hospital where Kate underwent successful abdominal surgery last Tuesday. She is currently spending her 11th day recovering at the hospital, where she is due to stay for up to two weeks.

His Majesty arrived accompanied by his wife Queen Camilla, an unusual move for the Royal Family as Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip always entered hospital alone.
