This year Prince William’s gift to his wife for the festive season saw her make a last-minute outfit change. The royals traditionally open their Christmas gifts on Christmas Eve which saw the Princess of Wales eagerly don her new attire the following day.
Kate wore a long forest-green Alexander McQueen coat paired with a matching Philip Treacy fedora hat.
To protect herself from the crisp winter morning which was spent greeting royal fans after church, she opted for brown leather gloves and some brown suede heeled boots from Gianvito Rossi.
The pair of gold-plated earrings which stood out against the green coat and hat were reportedly a gift from her husband.
William purchased ocean blue Dina earrings from Parisian brand Sèzane and are made from gold-plated recycled brass and natural stones.
The £100 earrings sold out within minutes of the Princess showcasing her new gift.
Sèzane is a well-known favourite of the Princess who has worn earrings and other accessories from the brand on a number of royal engagements.
On the royal couple’s visit to Belize, Kate wore a pair of £55 blue textile earrings by the French brand which are called the Charlie Earring.
Royal fans took to social media to praise the future king on his choice of gift for his wife.

This Christmas was the first year King Charles led the family from the Sandringham estate to St Mary Magdalene church as sovereign.
The family were greeted by Reverend Canon Dr Paul Rhys Williams and the National Anthem was sung in the church before the first hymn, O Come, All Ye Faithful.
The eager fans who gather to catch a glimpse of the family are able to hear the service through speakers.
The royals greeted the fans following the service before they went back to Sandringham for the traditional Christmas lunch.
