Prince William and Kate took to Twitter to express their gratitude to the former leader of New Zealand’s Labour Party.
In their social media post, the couple wrote: Thank you [Jacinda] for your friendship, leadership and support over the years, not least at the time of my grandmother’s death.
“Sending you, Clarke and Neve our best wishes. W & C.”
In September, following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Jacinda paid her respects at the coffin of the late Queen.
She later held an audience with a grieving Prince of Wales at Windsor Castle.
