Justin Trudeau’s estranged wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, has been named as “the other woman” in shocking new divorce papers filed in Canada.
According to the National Post, the Trudeaus — who called it quits in August of 2023 — never made the reasons for their split a public matter. But in new divorce filings made by a doctor’s ex-wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau was already in another relationship with a married doctor by the time the Canadian prime minister announced their split.
Ana Remonda alleged that her ex-husband, Dr. Marcos Bettolli, “re-partnered with a high-profile individual who attracts significant media attention, and presents significant security considerations.”

Sophie Grégoire Trudeau wasn’t mentioned by name in the papers, but a source told the outlet that she was, indeed, the “high-profile” person mentioned in the divorce proceedings.
And it’s her position as the ex-wife of the prime minister that has Remonda requesting a court order for additional protection of her children.
Remonda claims, too, that she “takes no position” with regards to her ex-husband’s new girlfriend.
She is, however, concerned for her childrens’ safety.
The explosive revelation in these divorce proceedings have shed light on the real reason for the Trudeaus’ split.
Rumors did abound that Sophie Grégoire Trudeau was cheating on the Canadian prime minister — however, some gossip blogs speculated that the “other man” was actor Idris Elba.
Now, however, those claims have been debunked.
Neither Justin Trudeau nor Sophie Grégoire Trudeau have commented on the new report.
