Joe Biden leaves crowd cringing as he struggles to put on T-shirt in senile moment

Joe Biden left a crowd cringing as he struggled to put on a T-shirt in another senile moment for the elderly president.

Appearing to make a speech in front of UAW autoworkers in Detroit, Joe Biden, 82, moved to try and put a campaign T-shirt on but struggled to get it over his body.

He was given the garment by a local union leader as he spoke about a new deal won by UAW negotiators that were “game changers” in setting a “new standard” for blue-collar workers.

The president said: “I’m a little selfish, I want this type of contract for all autoworkers. And I have a feeling the UAW has a plan for that.”

But the moment sparked controversy online, with many users flooding X – formerly Twitter – with their comments about how much Biden appeared to struggle.

One wrote: “Biden is not able to dress himself.”

Another said: “We all will get old but some of us do not realize when it is time to step aside.

“What is scary is this man is in charge of nuclear codes.”

Others were sympathetic towards Biden, citing his old age as a reason why he could be struggling. Among the users to back Biden including one who wrote: “I hope I can make it to his age and be able to do that.”

Another added: “Ah. I’m usually first in line but not so much on this one. He’s got another shirt on. I wouldn’t have done much better.”

Biden’s appearance in Detroit comes as he claimed to have personally spoken to Stellantis North America Chief Operating Officer Mark Stewart as part of the UAW pact.

He said: “I told my team, ‘Make Stellantis know Belvidere is a priority,’ so I got on the phone and let him know personally I thought it was a priority.”

The UAW’s new agreement with Stellantis means the plant is set to be reopened to generate midsize pickup trucks by 2027.

A multibillion-dollar battery cell operation close to the plant will also be made.

It comes as reports say the Biden administration had been given stark warnings from US diplomats in the Middle East that strongly backing Israel could make it “lose Arab publics for a generation” a cable obtained by CNN shows.

It added: “We are losing badly on the messaging battlespace.”
