Joe Biden gets 'confused', lies again and bizarrely claims his wife calls the shots

A “confused” Joe Biden told another lie while speaking yesterday and bizarrely opened his speech by telling the audience he receives “instructions” from his wife Jill Biden.

The 81-year-old US President has come under fire time and again over his frequent bumbles and gaffes with opponents suggesting he is mentally unfit for office. RNC Research – a Republican-operated organisation – picked up on Biden’s latest fib.

Writing on X, the group quoted Biden: “I, like an awful lot of people in this audience, was the first in my family to go to college.’ He’s lying. In 1987, he was even forced to admit it was a total LIE.”

RNC Research shared a 1987 New York Times article quoting Biden saying “There are Finnegans, my mother’s family, that went to college”.

The lie comes just days after Biden told another oft-repeated – but false – story about time the President spent with Xi Jinping.

Biden said: “I was once asked by Xi Jinping, and I traveled 17,000 miles with him — I was out at the Tibetan plateau. He looked at me and he said, ‘Can you define America?’ I could say the same thing if he asked me to define Greece.

“I said, ‘Yes, one word’ and I mean this sincerely, it’s recorded, I said, ‘possibilities’.”

However, the oft-repeated anecdote has been proven false. It even earned him a “bottomless Pinocchio” rating from the Washington Post which reserves the distinction for “false or misleading statements repeated so often that they became a form of propaganda.”

In addition to his latest lie – Biden appeared to stumble over his words after becoming “confused” by his teleprompter.

RNC Research wrote: “BIDEN (confused by his giant teleprompter): ‘I will never stop to deliver student debt relief!'”

The President also bizarrely opened his speech by claiming he received “instructions” from his wife.

The President’s common gaffes have led to criticism from opponents and polls have shown that even Democrats are concerned about his age.
