Joe Biden reportedly had to apologise for swallowing a cough drop while he was criticizing arch-rival Donald Trump.
Biden called Trump an “existential threat” that will “try to undo everything we’ve done” during his three-stop fundraising trips around New York City on Wednesday.
The President made a series of speeches to his donors, discussing various issues including former President Trump, Ukraine, and climate change. But at each event, Biden zeroes in on his likely Republican opponent.
At his first event held at the Upper West Side residence of Larry Linden, the former managing partner of Goldman Sachs, Biden said: “There is one existential threat, it’s Donald Trump.”
“It’s not about me, it’s about Trump. He will try to undo everything we’ve done. Make no mistake.”

“Just get over it? What the hell is he doing?” Biden added, referring to Trump’s response to the Iowa school shooting by telling Iowans to “get over it” and “move forward.”
Senior White House reporter for Bloombrerg News, Jennifer Jacobs, who was present at the event, tweeted that Biden coughed then said: “Excuse me, I swallowed a cough drop.”
This came as Biden arrived in New York City for three campaign events on Wednesday following his easy victory in Nevada’s Democratic primary on Tuesday night.
Dozens of Pro-Palestinian protesters gathered outside at Biden’s campaign events, and protested over his support of Israel in its war against Hamas.
