Jill Biden rushes on stage to save 'lost and confused' Joe as he wanders aimlessly

First Lady Jill Biden rushed on stage during a speech from her husband as the President looked lost and confused while on stage.

Joe Biden was addressing an audience at Valley Forge in Pennsylvania, where George Washington formed an army to fight the British in 1777.

He finished his speech but then turned to leave the stage going in the wrong direction.

Jill quickly dashed onto the stage, taking her 81-year-old husband by the hand and whispering something in his ear.

The First Lady then led the seemingly confused President off the stage, but Biden stopped once more to turn toward the crowd.

In his speech, Mr Biden had said: “I understand power! Thank you all so very much” before music drowned out his voice.

Mr Biden’s age has been a big concern for many given he is the oldest president in American history.

During public appearances in the past, he had made numerous gaffes, sparking concern over his mental well-being and fitness for office.

It has been reported that his team is wrapping him in “bubble wrap” to try and prevent him from making mistakes in public.

Veteran Democrat strategist Simon Rosenberg sees things differently, however, urging Mr Biden to use his age as an asset.

He told the Daily Mail: “He’s been successful because of his age, not in spite of it.

“We’re all going to have to make that case because it’s true. We can’t run away from the age issue.

“It’s going to be a major part of the conversation, but we would be making a political mistake if we don’t contest it more aggressively.”

But John B. Judis, a longtime political strategist and author, believes that Mr Biden’s age is a problem.

He said: “He doesn’t look and speak the part. He’s not a commanding or charming presence on a presidential or presidential election stage.

“I think a lot of voters, and young people in particular, who are not at all put off by his political positions or accomplishments, are put off by his utter failure as a regal persona.

“And I don’t know how that can be fixed. Not by bicycling. Biden’s best hope in that regard is the voters’ perception of Trump as a bad or even evil father who wants to wreck the family.”
