Jetstar flight to Australia descends into chaos as brawl breaks out among passengers

An appalling brawl was caught on camera onboard a flight to Australia in which three passengers were reported to have been dragged off the plane. The fight reportedly started two hours into Jetstar flight JQ58 from Denpasar, Bali, to Brisbane on Thursday April 27.

The footage, which was shot by a fellow passenger, show numerous passengers throwing hands while a flight attendant attempts to split them up.

One passenger can be heard shouting: “Oi! Stop, stop!”

Another passenger behind the camera said: “Someone knock him out.”

The passengers can be seen clapping in later footage while the three brawlers are escorted from the flight by the Australian Federal Police (AFP) upon landing.

Jetstar told express.co.uk that the AFP were called to assist following a fight between two passengers.

Two male passengers have been temporarily banned from flying with Jetstar and Qantas as a formal review of the incident is carried out.

A spokesperson for Jetstar said: “This type of violent and disruptive behaviour is completely unacceptable and will never be tolerated on our flights.

“We acknowledge this would have been a very distressing experience for other customers and are reaching out to those who were sitting nearby.

“This was also an extremely tough situation for our crew and we’re providing support to them.

“The welfare of our passengers and crew is always our number one priority.”

No charges have been filed against any of the brawling trio, 9 News reports.
