Israeli soldier details harrowing moment he held the body of a 'beheaded baby'

Israeli soldiers have been carrying out the horrific task of clearing bodies from the Be’eri Kibbutz – one of a number of settlements near Gaza under occupation from Hamas gunmen.

IDF officer Col Golan Vach described on the day of the assault police and armed volunteers attempted to beat back the heavily armed Hamas attackers.

The out-gunned policemen were eventually overwhelmed by the militants as were the Kibbutz’s local defence team, according to Vach.

In a graphic account, the Israeli veteran has backed claims that Palestinian terrorists “beheaded babies” claiming to have held the remains of one victim in his arms.

Arriving in the aftermath of the attack, Col Vach described the devastation and slaughter left following the Hamas assault.

He told the Mirror: “What I saw here, no human being should ever see. What I saw here was humiliation, elders lying dead, hands tied… executed. A baby beheaded.

“Not only have I seen a baby beheaded by Hamas, I held it in my hands. This is why this region needs to be cleared of these people.”

Earlier this week unverified reports surfaced in Israeli media of the bodies of 40 babies being found with their heads cut off being discovered at the Kfar Aza Kibbutz.

In the days following the shocking claim went viral and made headlines around the world though they have yet to be independently confirmed.

While the Israeli Government has presented the world with graphic images showing “babies murdered and burned” by Hamas, the Israeli military has yet to confirm or clarify the claims of beheadings.

The death toll from the Hamas attack across southern Israel on October 7 has risen to 1,300 with the vast majority ordinary Israeli civilians.

Israel’s airforce has launched a week-long campaign of airstrikes on the Gaza Strip in retaliation with a full-scale invasion to eliminate Hamas expected to commence in the coming days.
