Israeli couple murdered by Hamas hid their 10-month-old twin babies

A desperate Israeli couple attempted to hide their 10-month-old twin babies as Hamas terrorists charged into their home and killed them.

Itai and Hadar Berdichevsky, both aged 30, are believed to have been murdered by Hamas gunmen after attempting to fight off the invaders.

Remarkably the young couple’s baby children were later found alive in a shelter where they had been hidden in a desperate bid to save their lives.

Israeli troops battled their way into Kfar Gaza, in southern Israel before discovering the tiny twins and handing them over to a grandmother.

Honouring the murdered couple for their selfless action, Israel’s ambassador to Colombia, Gali Dagan said: “They hid their 10-month-old twin children in the shelter while terrorists infiltrated their home. Itay and Hadar were brutally murdered after bravely fighting the terrorists.”

He added: “The babies were left alone for more than 12 hours until they were rescued. Imagine the horror. Two terrified parents doing everything they can to save their children, who are now orphaned. Blessed be the memory of these heroes.”

Hamas terrorists launched a surprise attack on Israel on Saturday, October 7 breaking through the Gaza border fence and attacking checkpoints.

Heavily-armed Hamas fighters stormed bases on the Israeli army killing scores of soldiers and taking others captive.

Next Hamas turned to the communities near the border striking with warning and shooting people on sight in the streets and in homes.

Israeli authorities have reported more than 800 soldiers and civilians have been killed in the Hamas attacks.

In revenge, the Israeli military has begun bombarding the Gaza Strip with rockers and artillery sending the civilian death toll in the Palestinian enclave soaring.

On Tuesday, Israel said it had recaptured the border crossing with Gaza.

Meanwhile, according to officials in Gaza, almost 700 Palestinians have been killed in the Israeli air strikes.
