A horrific image of a child’s bedroom covered in blood has emerged after the brutal terror attack carried out against Israel by Hamas.
The photo was shared by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Twitter.
Netanyahu branded Hamas “worse than ISIS” while the IDF said: “Only a genocidal terrorist organisation is capable of such horrors.”
In the photo, children’s toys can be seen piled next to a blood-soaked bed as well as strewn about on the floor. Blood also is smeared on the walls and floors.
It’s unclear where the image was taken but Hamas terrorists are known to have carried out massacres in Israeli settlements in a terrorist raid that began early Saturday morning.
The news comes amid reports that Hamas attackers butchered entire families in Israeli communities near Gaza.
There has been unverified reports that 40 children and babies were slaughtered in the quiet Kfar Aza kibbutz, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
Some of those children were reportedly decapitated.
Hamas also stormed the Tribe of Nova music festival in southern Israel Saturday morning, killing at least 260 people, mostly young revellers. Some people, including foreigners, were abducted by Hamas and taken back to Gaza.
Israel has responded to the attack with hundreds of airstrikes on targets in Gaza. At least 1,200 were killed on the Israeli side as a result of Hamas’s attack.
Palestinian authorities in Gaza said more than 1,050 people had been killed in Gaza following airstrikes there.
The IDF appears to be gearing up for a ground operation and has called in some 300,000 Israeli reservists while massing armour on the border with Gaza.
