Israel on track to sign deal with Hamas after Netanyahu agrees to US 'bridging proposal'

Israel has agreed to a US “bridging proposal” for a prisoner-hostage exchange, an expert has claimed.

The plan outlines how many Palestinian prisoners will be released in return for each hostage still being held by Hamas since October 7.

CNN correspondent Barak Ravid, citing an anonymous Israeli source, shared the news on X on Saturday evening.

He told his 289,900 followers: “A senior Israeli official tells me CIA director Bill Burns presented today in Doha a US bridging proposal on the number of Palestinian prisoners that will be released for every hostage held by Hamas.

“Israel agreed to the US proposal and is awaiting Hamas’ response.”
