Israel has struck Hezbollah cells in Lebanon as well as an observation post for the ally of Hamas in what it said were retaliatory airstrikes.
Israeli Minister of Defence Yoav Gallant said Tel Aviv is not interested in a northern front, but is “prepared for any task”.
The strikes come as Tel Aviv said it will press on with its offensive to crush Gaza’s Hamas rulers, despite US appeals for a pause to get aid to desperate civilians.
Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes struck a refugee camp in the Gaza Strip early on Sunday (November 5), killing at least 33 and wounding dozens more, according to health officials.
