Iran could launch 'pre-emptive action' against Israel amid Hamas conflict

Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has warned the nation could take “pre-emptive action” against Israel “in the coming hours”.

He made the admission during an interview with state broadcaster SNNTV. Amir-Abdollahian said Iran-backed groups in the region “will not allow the zionist regime [Israel] to do whatever it wants in Gaza. Therefore any preemptive action is possible in the coming hours”.

He was then asked if Iran would consider going into all-out war with Benjamin Netanyahu’s Israel. To which the high-ranking Iranian politician replied: “Every possibility is conceivable.”

Amir-Abdollahian told the network “no party should be indifferent to the crimes being committed in Gaza.”

“will not allow the zionist regime [Israel[ to do whatever it wants in Gaza… therefore any preemptive action is possible in the coming hours”.

Amir-Abdollahian fears Israel could attack Iranian cities next. This is, he claims, unless the nation steps in to support Gaza.

He added: “If we do not defend Gaza today, tomorrow we will have to defend against (Israeli) bombs in our own cities.”

Previously, Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu warned Iran not to “test” the nation. It came as 28 towns on the border near to Lebanon were evacuated, reports Sky.

Speaking in Jerusalem, Netanyahu also warned the world “this war is also your war”.
