Kate Middleton at charity fashion show/dress on model

Although they had been friends for a while, Kate supposedly turned William’s head when she wore a see-through dress at the university’s charity fashion show.

Fashion expert and auctioneer Kerry Taylor told US Weekly: “It was meant to be a skirt actually and she kind of yanked it up and wore it as a dress.

“She had a great figure, so yeah, she definitely caught Prince William’s eye that night of the rest is history.”

The dress then sold at auction in 2011 for a whooping £78,000.

According to Kate, she was “very shy” when she first met the Prince and would “go bright red and scuttle off”.

Their friendship eventually blossomed into romance, however their first date did not go entirely as planned.

According to Heart Radio, Kate attempted to curtsey to William while out to dinner as a joke, but she ended up falling over and making William spill a drink all over himself.

[But] what would happen was I would burn something, something would overspill, something would catch on fire.”

However he also said about his future wife: “When I first met Kate, I knew there was something very special about her. I knew there was possibly something that I wanted to explore there.”
