Inside life of F1 world champion Max Verstappen with model WAG and £12m private jet

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen is a newly-crowned F1 champion for the third year in a row, blowing his competitors away having stormed to the title with five races remaining after a season of domination. But away from the track, the Dutchman also lives an envious life with his model girlfriend and huge fortune as Express Sport has taken an inside look into Verstappen’s time spent away from the sport…

Verstappen’s huge fortune

Verstappen has a whopping net worth of £165million after becoming one of the highest-paid drivers on the grid when he signed a new contract with Red Bull, estimated at £44m-a-year. The Dutchman’s deal keeps him to Christian Horner’s outfit until 2028 where he feels that he can continue competing for titles.

He first burst onto the scene as the son of Jos Verstappen, who competed in F1 for eight years. Now Verstappen Jnr has very much made a name, and fortune, for himself with brand deals for the likes of G-Star RAW, Red Bull and EA Sports.

He also has his own merchandise company and has plans to create a GT3 team called ‘Verstappen.com Racing’ with the hopes of competing in 2025. With the 26-year-old planning to retire before reaching the twilight of his career, Verstappen is very much setting himself up for the future.

Dating F1 legend’s daughter

Born into a F1 family, Verstappen is also dating Kelly Piquet – the daughter of Nelson Piquet. The pair became official in 2021 and the model can be spotted cheering her boyfriend on at several races, when she isn’t being snapped for the cover of Vogue in the Netherlands.

She has 1.2million followers on Instagram and in addition to her glittering modeling career she is also a graduate in International Relations with a major in Political Science and Economics from Marymount Manhattan College in New York – and a motoring columnist.

They are often seen together on social media taking lavish trips abroad during Verstappen’s weekends off from F1, though the relationship did become contentious when Nelson Piquet was at the centre of a racism storm with Lewis Hamilton last year.
