Inside £250k hoarder home where you can barely see the rooms because it's full of junk

A three-bedroom cottage has hit the market for £250,000, but those hoping to buy it will need to look past the rooms filled with junk.

For sale with Butters John Bee, Stafford, the property is in serious need of modernisation and renovation. Describing it as an “ideal opportunity for those seeking a project in a rural location”, the estate agents shared pictures showing the inside of the home in a terrible state.

The rooms can be seen covered in rubbish with wallpaper peeling off the walls. Though it is set in a beautiful location, those who purchase the home will have to clear out the clutter left behind.

Seemingly owned by a hoarder prior to hitting the market, the outside could be deceiving. Set in Bickford, the sweet cottage has a beautiful exterior, boasting a traditional English cottage feel.

But once you enter, it’s a very different story. One room can be seen with piles of magazines and old cassettes.

Another room – which appears to be a bedroom – is full of old boxes containing clothing. Wallpaper can also be seen peeling off the walls.

Meanwhile, the living room has been left in a similar state, with random carrier bags containing belongings sprawled across the floor.

The kitchen is in need of modernisation, with the worktops left in an unusable state. Some equipment has also been left behind, with clutter filling the small space.

Another bedroom is covered in rubbish, with plastic bags, books and boxes covering the floor.

The garden is in an overgrown state, but has plenty of room for those looking to turn it into a pretty outdoor space.

There is also a decent sized storage shed in the garden. The property is being sold by public auction at The Double Tree Hilton Hotel Stoke-on-Trent on Monday 25th March at 6.30pm.

The Butters John Bee listing says: “Detached cottage in need of modernisation and renovation located in Bickford near to Penkridge.

“The property includes an entrance hall, lounge, dining room, kitchen and store rooms to the ground floor. The first floor has three bedrooms and a bathroom. Externally the property includes a generous rear garden, garage and storage shed.”
