Insane moment reporter is caught in middle of dramatic Israel-Hamas gun battle

A Hamas terrorist was arrested live on TV as a Fox News reporter was forced to duck for cover after hearing gunshots.

This dramatic moment was caught on camera as Fox News reporter Trey Yingst gave updates from the site of the musical festival where 260 young people were killed last weekend.

The attacker was blindfolded and stripped down to his underwear as Israeli soldiers took him away.

In the video, Mr Yingst is heard saying: “We heard a gunshot and they’re yelling at people to get out of the area.”

Mr Yingst stopped running to crouch for cover while other journalists were seen doing the same behind the wall.

The reporter added: “Lay down flat. Lay down. Lay down totally flat. You can see things are very tense here. Two gunshots and now they have someone on the ground.

“Very tense right now as the soldiers appear to have arrested a Palestinian man and he’s in handcuffs and they’ve blindfolded him and they are taking him away. You can see here they’re leading him away.”

He added the scene “gives you a sense of how unpredictable all of this is.

“They don’t know where people are hiding. They could still be in the tree lines here near the Gaza border.”

Mr Yingst said a senior commander later told him the detained man was a Palestinian militant who had crossed into Israel from Gaza.

Israel now reports that at least 1,300 of its people have been killed following the incursion and Hamas rocket attacks.

They have also confirmed the identities of 97 hostages who were taken to Gaza.

It has also been reported that more than 1,500 people in Gaza have been killed by Israeli bombardment.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s administration released images on Thursday of young infants that had been murdered by Hamas.

A spokesman for Mr Netanyahu told The Times of Israel that the rationale behind sharing such images was simple: “So that the world will see just a fraction of the horrors that Hamas carried out.”

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited Tel Aviv to meet with the Isaeli Prime Minister yesterday, and he expressed his shock at the harrowing images.

He said: “It’s impossible for me to look at the photos of families killed – such as the mother, father, and three small children murdered as they sheltered in their home in Kibbutz Nir Oz – and not think of my own children.

“This was just one of Hamas’s countless acts of terror – in a litany of brutality and inhumanity that, yes, brings to mind the worst of ISIS. Babies slaughtered. Bodies desecrated.

“Young people burned alive. Women raped. Parents executed in front of their children, children in front of their parents.”
