Dramatic footage shows police officers saving an elderly man from his car moments before it goes up in flames.
Police attempt to pull the minivan over after its flat tyre starts sparking on a US road.
However, the 84-year-old driver does not stop, leaving a trail of blinding light behind his vehicle as he proceeds up the Wisconsin highway.
As flames start to lick at the rear of the car and smoke starts rising, the driver slows down.
The police car pulls up the rear of the minivan as a policeman shouts: “Get out! Get out! Get out! Get out! Get out! Get out, now!”
The inflamed minivan careens across the road before suddenly stopping.
Police officer sprints towards the burning car, pulling the driver out. Moments later, the car explodes into a massive fireball.
The police officers were able to save the driver from the burning car and no one was seriously injured, Kenosha Police Department confirmed.
The incident comes days after a fuel truck died in a fiery crash atop a major highway bridge in Connecticut.
