Insane moment armed Ukrainian drone flies into house window, blowing up Russian soldiers

Insane video has emerged from Ukraine that shows Kyiv’s soldiers deploying a new type of drone against their Russian counterparts.

The Mammoth drone is larger than other first-person view suicide drones and can carry 4kg (8.8 lbs) of high explosives to a target, causing a huge amount of devastation.

Video released on social media appears to show the drone flying towards a house allegedly used by Russian soldiers in occupied Kherson.

The drone is flown through a window and detonates, partially destroying the house which erupted into a fireball.

The attack with the new quad-copter reportedly occurred in occupied Krynky, in the Kherson Region.

Drones have been used by both Russia and Ukraine on a tactical and strategic level throughout the war.

The evolution of drone warfare has seen them used for battlefield reconnaissance, to drop grenades or other bombs on enemies.

Now, both sides are using relatively simple and cheap first-person-view drones to attack enemy soldiers and vehicles.

In addition, Russia has targeted civilian infrastructure and cities inside Ukraine. Kyiv has returned the favour by striking targets inside Russia, including Moscow.

The news comes as Russia continues to launch assaults in eastern Ukraine around the destroyed settlement of Andriivka near Bakhmut.

On November 21, Russian forces advanced in both areas, according to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW). Both sides continue to mount attacks despite the snowy and rainy weather impeding movement, the think-tank added.

The ISW added that it “continues to assess that freezing weather conditions during the winter will likely prompt the resumption of more active combat operations in Ukraine, and ongoing rainy weather is unlikely to halt Ukrainian or Russian attacks.”
