'I counted chocolates in Heroes, Celebrations and Quality Street – these were missing'


A man painstakingly riffled through and counted the chocolates in different variety boxes to discover which ones were lacking in the Christmas treats.

Charlie Murphy bought eight tubs of Heroes, Quality Street and Celebrations to find out what were the most and least common chocolates.

He added up the chocolates by type and then found how many were in a tub on average.

In Heroes, Charlie found Eclair was the most common with 7.75 per tub, followed by Dinky Decker with 7.625, and in third place was Caramel with 7.125.

Then came Dairy Milk with an average of 7 per tub, followed by Crunchie at 6.5 and Wispa at 6.25.

The three least common kinds of chocolate in Heroes were Fudge with 6.25 per tub, Creme Egg at 6.125 and Twirl with a measly 3.375.

In Quality Street, Charlie found strawberry delight was the most common with 8 per tub, followed by caramel swirls with 6.375, and blue coconut eclairs with 6.

Then came orange creme with an average of 6 per tub, followed by orange crunch with 5.375, the purple one with 5 and toffee fingers with 4.875.

The three least common kinds of chocolate in Quality Street were the green triangle and toffee penny both with 4.625 per tub and milk choc block with just 4.

In Celebrations, Charlie found Snickers was the most common with 11.125 per tub, followed by Milky Way with 11 and Mars with 10.875.

Then came Bounty with an average of 7.25 per tub, followed by Malteasers at 6.875 and Twix with 6.125.

The two least common kinds of chocolate in Celebrations were Galaxy and Galaxy Caramel both with six per tub.
