Howard Stern brands King Charles a 'p****' and rants 'England has to get a grip'

American disc jockey Howard Stern has made a scathing attack on King Charles, calling him a “p****” and dubbing the Coronation “repugnant”.

The monarch was officially crowned King in a historic ceremony over the weekend, with millions watching on.

But not all were singing God Save The Queen, with the veteran radio host lashing out at the proceedings.

“England’s gotta get a grip on themselves,” he said on Monday’s edition of ‘The Howard Stern Show’ the day after Charles’s Coronation weekend.

Stern then said: “I understand, maybe it brings in tourism, but Jesus H. Christ.

“First of all, Prince Charles is a p****. That’s No. 1 — and people are acting like — the whole ceremony they’re acting like that f****** guy went to war or something, and then beat up all the other people.”

Co-host Robin Quivers added: “Did something great besides being born.”

Continuing his republican rant, Stern added: “Yeah. But you know, they’re like, ‘We swear our allegiance to you and you are a great warrior.’

“I mean, the whole thing is f****** nuts. It was disgusting. And I’ll tell you why it’s disgusting.

“I mean, it doesn’t take a brain surgeon to say this, but, you know, England’s having its own economic problems and they spent a fortune on that coronation.

“And it’s just repugnant to watch a country who’s suffering through economic problems…and then you see the pomp and circumstance.”

No fan of the royals, Stern has previously criticised members of the Firm, including Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

In December last year, Stern bashed the Sussex royals’ documentary series on Netflix, saying: “They come off like such whiny b******.

“I gotta tell you, man, I just don’t get it.”

Stern sympathised with Harry’s grief over Princess Diana though, adding: “ I feel bad for Prince Harry losing his mother there.

“But Jesus Christ, when those two start whining about ‘wha wha wha and they don’t like me’, and she wants to be beloved in this country.”

Despite Stern’s brutal comments, Charles has thanked the UK for the historic occasion.

The monarch and Queen Camilla said: “As the Coronation weekend draws to a close, my wife and I just wanted to share our most sincere and heartfelt thanks to all those who have helped to make this such a special occasion.

“We pay particular tribute to the countless people who have given their time and dedication to ensuring that the celebrations in London, Windsor and further afield were as happy, safe and enjoyable as possible.

“To those who joined in the celebrations – whether at home, at street parties and lunches, or by volunteering in communities – we thank you, each and every one.

“To know that we have your support and encouragement, and to witness your kindness expressed in so many different ways, has been the greatest possible Coronation gift, as we now rededicate our lives to serving the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and Commonwealth.”
