How to make Queen Camilla's favourite dinner in 10 minutes – 'you cannot beat it'

Queen Camilla spoke to her son and esteemed food writer Tom Parker Bowles about her cooking and eating habits for You Magazine.

While she has likely dined at some of the most renowned restaurants in the world, sampling the finest cuisine on offer, her favourite foods are rather simple.

She told her son: “One of my favourite foods is baked beans on toast. Always Heinz.”

Queen Camilla is also a huge fan of a beachy British classic. The royal absolutely adores “freshly cooked fish and chips wrapped in paper”. She said: “You cannot beat proper fish and chips.”

The weather is getting colder so fewer Britons will be enjoying fish and chips at the seaside in the next few months, but that does not mean they can’t enjoy this tasty tea at home. Here’s how to make BBC Good Food’s crispy fish and chips with mushy peas – it takes 10 minutes to prep.
