How Prince George will likely mark his 10th birthday

Prince George is celebrating his tenth birthday today, July 22.

Born in 2013, the young royal marks the start of a brand-new decade by hitting double digits.

Although it is unknown how the young royal will celebrate, there is no doubt that the Prince and Princess of Wales will have a lot planned for their eldest son.

The Royal Family are typically very private about birthdays, although it is thought Prince George has celebrated past birthdays with parties hosted at the Windsor Estate.

Despite the family laying low on celebrations, one royal expert looks into just how the young royal could be celebrating his milestone birthday today.

While nothing is known about how the now-ten-year-old will be marking his birthday, royal commentator Duncan Larcombe said that it is likely to be a private, family affair.

He recently told Fox News Digital: “They’ve always been intensely secretive and private about his birthday.

“They’ve never released anything… in terms of a birthday party, and what they do is shrouded in secrecy.”

Speaking of the young royal, he added: “We are starting to see him a lot more in public these days, but they’re still very keen on keeping him private property rather than public property.

George is also likely to have an extra-special birthday cake, baked specially by his mum Princess Kate.

In 2019, Kate revealed on A Berry Royal Christmas that she likes to bake a birthday cake on the evening before her children’s special days.

She said: “I love making the cake.

“It’s become a bit of a tradition that I stay up ’til midnight with ridiculous amounts of cake mix and icing, and I make far too much. But I love it.”
