How much is the Royal Family worth? King Charles and Prince William's net worth revealed

The Royal Family’s net worth hasn’t been publicly disclosed, according to Forbes, it was estimated at £21.3 billion in 2021. This is separate from the late Queen Elizabeth’s personal fortune and assets (about £380.7 million) which were inherited by King Charles, according to the same publication.

The Royal Family – also known as the Firm – includes King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, Princess Kate, Princess Anne, Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie.

The Crown Estate has been estimated to be worth close to £15.6 billion with urban properties valued at £9.1 billion, while it generated an estimated £312.7 million in net revenue by the end of fiscal year 2022.

The Firm cannot dispose of all of the revenue generated by The Crown Estate, which goes to the Government in exchange for a Sovereign Grant from taxpayers.

The grant is equivalent to 25 percent of The Crown Estate’s profits. The Sovereign Grant for 2022-2023 was worth £86.3 million.

The King’s inheritance has made his net worth over £1.8 billion, according to The Guardian. This includes assets from estates and artwork to jewels, racehorses, stamps and cars.

Whilst most of the palace properties do not belong to the King but to the Crown, Charles has inherited from his mother two rural estates that are among his most valuable assets – Balmoral in Scotland, estimated to be worth around £80m and Sandringham in Norfolk, estimated to be worth around £250m, according to the same publication.

The King also owns the Windsor’s private collection of 54 precious gems and jewellery – with an estimated value of £533m.

Charles also gets his income from a wide range of undisclosed investments as well as the profitable Duchy of Lancaster.

The Prince of Wales’s net worth is estimated to be between £31.6 and £60.7million, according to reports.

But these estimates do not include the private Duchy of Cornwall estate which he inherited from his father once he became King.

According to Bloomberg, that alone gives him 22,1 million per year in personal income.

William’s net worth also includes a £8,7 inheritance from his mother Princess Diana’s estate, which he received upon turning 30, according to Fox Business.
