Horror daylight attack near Wetherspoons sparks police lockdown outside popular London pub


A 21-year-old man has been rushed to hospital after a horror daylight stabbing outside a Wetherspoons in West London today. 

A man was arrested after emergency services rushed to the scene outside the Good Yarn Pub in High Street, Uxbridge, shortly after 3pm this afternoon.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police told MyLondon: “Police were called at around 3.15pm on Tuesday, August 1 to reports of a man stabbed on Uxbridge High Street. Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. A 21-year-old man was taken to a Central London hospital for treatment.

“We await an update on his condition. A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He has been taken to a West London police station. A crime scene is in place. Enquiries continue.”

A representative for Wetherspoons commented: “There has been an incident outside of the pub this afternoon, the incident is not related to the pub in any way. Currently we are still trading but the area in front of the pub and side alley is closed off.”
