Horrifying moment wild stag nearly gored man during brutal attack

The horrifying moment a wild stag nearly gorged a member of the public during a brutal attack has been captured on camera.

The unnamed man was left seriously injured after the attack – which saw him get too close to the animal when he attempted to stroke it in a Nottingham park.

However, the male deer had “enough of being pestered”, bystanders claimed, and it lashed out.

The man then attempted to grab at the stag’s antlers before being struck to the floor.

According to the Daily Mirror, the scene was reminiscent of a famous bull run of Pamplona in Spain, with the stag ramming the man with its antlers.

Thankfully, the man was able to pick himself up off the floor and flee before his injuries got worse.

The incident was captured on camera by Chris Golightly at Wollaton Hall and Deer Park, Nottingham.

And it is not the first time Brits have captured have altercations with the animal.

One man was captured being attacked by a red deer stag in London’s Richmond Park in 2020 after getting too close.

The man had been attempting to stroke the animal, once again.

Nottingham City Council said “it’s important to be clear that it is extremely rare for a deer to approach a park visitor in this way, unprovoked and from a distance, even in the rutting season”.

The deer park in Nottingham is described as a 500-acre park and it one of the city’s most popular attractions. Each month thousands of people visit it.
