Horrific Titan sub video revealing how it imploded has viewers totally 'freaking out'

A harrowing viral video showing what likely happened when the Titan sub imploded and killed its five passengers.

The video was created by a 3D engineering animation company that recreated the descent of the tragic Titan submersible to show the public what likely happened.

Some viewers admitted to feeling “freaking out” after witnessing the Titanic-bound vessel implode on itself in a matter of seconds.

Officials suggested following the discovery of the Titan debris that the OceanGate submergible likely imploded 1,600 meters away from the wreckage.

Hamish Harding, pilot Paul-Henri Nargeolet, OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush and father-son duo Shahzada and Suleman Dawood all died in the incident.

The AiTelly reconstruction argued the vessel collapsed on itself because of the “weak carbon hull” giving way under immense water pressure.

The reconstruction highlighted the differences between Titan’s “experimental design” and other existing submarines using steel, aluminum, and titanium.

The engineers behind the reconstruction ultimately agreed the vessel’s carbon fiber hull was behind the collapse because it can “crack and break suddenly.”

YouTube user @nikobellic3856 commented: “I’d be freaking out just knowing the amount of pressure on the hull that only increases as you descend, yea those people on board were definitely nuts.”

User @bugtalk84 said: “The moments before the OceanGate imploded must’ve been a really scary and harrowing experience for the 5 people involved.”

Another user, @donmcpherson9568, commented: “To my knowledge, carbon fiber composite is quite strong and also very brittle.

“Cracks could have developed in the carbon fiber mesh. Getting bigger with each dive. Finally progressing to catastrophic failure.” AiTelly replied: “Agreed.”

And @michaelpolo6117 wrote: “This is amazing that only 4 of you made such an accurate depiction of the Titan.

“This looked soo unsafe, it is heart-wrenching that lives were lost because of selfish negligence….” The video has gone viral since its publication and racked up more than six million views.

CEO Stockton Rush was allegedly warned on several occasions about the risk the design of his vessels posed to human life.

In an email seen by The New Yorker after the incident, Rush complained to a former advisor warning about concerns with the vessel.

The CEO replied complaining about “industry players who try to use a safety argument to stop innovation and new entrants from entering their small existing market.”

Coast Guard Chief Capt. Jason Neubauer said after the discovery of the remains on June 22 that “there is still a substantial amount of work to be done” to understand what happened to the Titan.

He added that the Coast Guard has convened an investigation of the implosion at the highest level.

The Marine Board of Investigation will analyze and test evidence, including pieces of debris, at a port in the US.

The board will share the evidence at a future public hearing whose date has not been determined, the Coast Guard said.

The implosion of the Titan has raised questions about the safety of private undersea exploration operations. The Coast Guard wants to use the investigation to improve the safety of submersibles.
