Footage has captured the horrific moment a masked yob attacked a bus in London.
Footage showing a masked man violently smashing windows was posted on X/Twitter by London & UK Street News.
Above the clip they said: “Happened in Ilford last night and attacked a bus with a hammer.”
The video shows a man with a hammer walking along the side of a bus with a hammer and smashing the windows one by one.
As the bus pulls away, the assailant continues to smash the side of the bus before giving up and walking away.
In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were notified of an incident at 7:18am on Wednesday, April 10 of a social media post that allegedly took place 9:02pm on Tuesday evening showing a man smashing a bus that was by the 105 bus stop outside Novotel Hotel, Bath Road, Harlington towards Greenford Station.
“The clip shows a man wearing a balaclava, smashing the windscreen and side windows with a long pole / blunt weapon before fleeing from the scene. There have been no arrests.
“Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call police via 101 quoting reference CAD 1208/10APR”
