Horrific moment dead man is 'wheeled into bank by niece trying to take out £2,000 loan'


Disturbing footage captured the moment a woman allegedly wheeled a dead man into a bank in an attempt to take out a loan in his name, according reports.

Grim video published by the press in Brazil appears to show the man’s head swaying limply back and forth before the woman stabilises it with her hand at a bank counter in Rio de Janeiro.

The Brazilian woman, identified by local media as Erika de Souza Vieira Nunes, is reportedly seen asking the dead man to sign off a four-figure loan.

“Uncle, are you listening? You have to sign it. I can’t sign for you,” she is heard saying.

She added “sign here and stop giving me a headache,” as she asked the lifeless man to hold the pen between his fingers, according to local press.

According to local media, Police arrested Erika over the incident and said she attempted take out a loan for 7,000 Brazilian Reais (£2,500).

Following her arrest, police chief Fabio Luiz confirmed that Mr Braga was already deceased when he was brought into the bank.

“The investigation is continuing to identify other family members and to find out if he was alive when the loan was arranged and when it dates from,” he added.

Officials appeared to signal the woman and the dead man were related and are reportedly checking security footage inside and outside the branch to see if anyone else was involved in the alleged scheme.
