Crowds scrambled for safety after a number of people were reportedly shot in Florida. Live cameras from Hollywood Beach showed the moment families attempted to flee the area.
It comes after eyewitnesses reported that gunshots were fired towards people. Around seven people – including a teenager – were believed to have been hit.
Footage from the area showed that police and the fire department had been called in.
Police are now asking people to avoid the area due to an “ongoing investigation”.
Hollywood Florida Police said: “Please avoid the area on Hollywood Beach, from Johnson to Garfield Street, and the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk due to an ongoing police investigation.”

Local reports suggested that one of the casualties involved was a 15-year-old. The suspected shooter was described as a black male dressed in all black.
An initial eyewitness said: “Just witnessed a shooting on Hollywood beach, four people shot and one was a kid.”
