Hidden meaning behind Princess Kate's ‘very animated’ body language at Wimbledon

Kate, Princess of Wales, 41, had “very animated” body language at Wimbledon today as she watched the Ladies’ Singles Final.

The Princess arrived wearing a pale green Self Portrait dress and looked exceptional as she took her seat at Centre Court in the Royal Box.

Kate made several excitable facial expressions as she watched the intense game between Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur and Czech Republic’s Marketa Vondrousova.

According to a body language expert, there was a hidden meaning behind Kate’s excitement and it wasn’t just “fan-based”.

Judi James exclusively told Express.co.uk: “There’s something about Kate’s facial expressions and body language that suggests not just fan-based excitement about attending the women’s finals.

“But instead, a sneaking suggestion that she wishes she had been out there on the court herself competing, too.”

Judi commented on Kate’s £420 dress and her £395 Emmy London blush clutch bag and how the Princess used this accessory to convey her “anticipation”.

She claimed: “Her 1950s-inspired outfit looks demure but the way she clutches the chain of her bag tightly shows a strong sense of anticipation.

“As she bends her arm at the elbow we get a glimpse of a very toned-looking upper arm muscle that is flexed in a way to suggest she will be playing every shot in her mind as the match progresses.

“Added to the torso lean as she hails the fans with a waving right hand, you could almost see her arriving on court herself with a racquet clutched in the bag hand in this pose.”

What did this mean for the Princess? Judi argues that Kate is not just “a viewer” when she attends Wimbledon.

The expert opined: “This ‘activity empathy’ shows a strong trait of tuning into the sporting experience rather than just attending as a viewer.

“That would also account for Kate’s very animated facial expressions as she watches the play.”
