Hezbollah dubs today 'day of rage against the enemy' after Gaza strike

In response to Hezbollah’s call, Al Arabiya reports hundreds have taken to the streets of Akwar outside the U.S. Embassy while chanting “death to America” and “death to Israel.”

At one point, the news publisher claims, authorities had to dispel the protestors with tear gas.

But that hasn’t stopped additional protests from cropping up, including in Sidon and Tyre — two prominent locations for Palestinian refugees to congregate.

Protestors have also been spotted covering their faces with Palestinian flags to protect themselves from inhaling the gas.

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati has declared Wednesday (October 18) a national day of mourning in honor of the Palestinians who were killed at the hospital in an air strike.

Meanwhile, the IDF did not take responsibility for the attack on the hospital. In a statement, it said: “From an analysis of the IDF’s operational systems, an enemy rocket barrage was carried out towards Israel, which passed in the vicinity of the hospital when it was hit.

“According to intelligence information, from several sources we have, the PIJ organization is responsible for the failed [rocket] fire that hit the hospital.”
