Passengers have been evacuated en masse from Heathrow Terminal 3 this morning after a fire fire alarm sounded, with travellers reporting a “huge mess” as scores of people were removed from the building.
One Twitter user said: “Fire alarm at Heathrow Airport – Terminal 3. Evacuating everyone, it’s a huge mess! No smell or sign of smoke/fire thankfully.”
Another passenger expressed anger at how the evacuation was handled, saying: “Total fiasco at @HeathrowAirport terminal 3 fire alarm evacuation, nobody knew what they were doing. Real fire would of been game over!! Flight delays will be the consequences, sort it out Heathrow, just terrible.”
Heathrow Airport confirmed an incident was underway, but an official statement has not yet been released.
Express.co.uk have approached Heathrow Airport for clarification of the incident.
